La Perla de La Colonia
The owner is fond of cooking and entertaining, and the well equipped kitchen and large front deck are accommodating to both. The kitchen has an oversized professional gas-stove (with a double propane tanks) with a powerful hood to avoid any smells in the rest of the house. Materials and appliances used are first class, and include teak cabinets and doors and granite countertops.
The kitchen opens up to the dining area, which offers great views of the ocean and, through a very large (triple pane) window, of the mountains as well. However, the large balcony overlooking the beach below is where one would likely spend most of the time. The cool ocean breezes, the great view and the sounds of the waves below make it a very comfortable and relaxing place to hang out.
The house offers 2 identical (mirrored) master suites with full baths and 2 additional bedrooms sharing a full bath totalling 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The master suites open up to the large balcony through large sliding glass doors. The whole house is designed to take advantage of the natural air flow and is very comfortable. There is no air conditioning (though it would be fairly easy to install) but each area has a ceiling fan for those rare moments when there is no natural breeze.
Next to the house there are a swimming pool (with kiddie pool) with its own waterfall, and a rancho/pool house with a bathroom. On the Northern side of the house there is a small and simple caretakers’ house.
The whole house and pool are extremely well built and over engineered, with solid concrete and copious amounts of re-bar. However, unlike in some other houses that are built this solid, the whole house feels light and tropical.
Water is supplied by the Uvita water system (a 1000 liter back-up tank with pressure pump is in place to ensure water even when city water is unavailable) and the property has a land phone line as well as excellent cellphone reception. There is an internet cable connection provided by CableTica. A state of the art alarm system is wired throughout the house. Further more, this property is adjacent to the Marino Ballena National Park which prevents any building between the property and the ocean.
The property has frontage with both the Coastal highway in the back and the beach access road in the front. It would be easy to build a trail to the beach road from the property which would make the beach accessible in about 3 minutes on foot (currently it would be about 5 minutes).
Uvita is only minutes by car and offers a wide array of services including super markets, banks, internet cafes, a health clinic, dentist, pharmacy, veterinarian, appliances stores and much more. There are several good restaurants there, but for a truly extraordinary dining experience there are several restaurants in Ojochal (about 10 minutes South) that are highly recommended.
Land in this area is very valuable due to the excellent location and easy beach access, and this property boasts almost 2 acres of it with Some of the best ocean views Costa Rica has to offer.
There is more AAA++ ocean view property to build another villa.
This seller is highly motivated in a "must sell" situation. All offers will be considered!!
