Our Management: Carlos DeNecochea, Co-Founder & President In 1995, Carlos and his wife Ivonne lived and worked in Los Angeles, often logging 60+ hour workweeks and feeling like they were living on a treadmill. One Sunday morning, fate intervened in the form of a property-for-sale ad in the newspaper, featuring a small lot in the sleepy surf town of Dominical, Costa Rica. A plane trip later, Carlos and Ivonne made their decision--they would buy a lot in Costa Rica, build a Bed & Breakfast, and move out of the "rat race". Their course to a new life was charted. Carlos and Ivonne now make their permanent residence in their stunning Bed & Breakfast, nestled in the trees overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Carlos managed the construction of this 5000-square-foot dream house, while gaining invaluable first-hand experience and insight into the Costa Rican real estate acquisition and building process. In addition to this practical knowledge, Carlos has several years of professional real estate experience in Costa Rica, including property development, construction management and real estate sales with Century 21. This is complemented by his 15-year sales career in Los Angeles, which honed his customer service and client relations expertise. He is responsible for all aspects of CRRES's in-country business management, overseeing customer service, sales, partner development, and day-to-day operations. Jason Fairchild, Co-Founder Three years ago, Jason came to Costa Rica to vacation at his long-time friend Carlos's bed & breakfast, and loved Costa Rica so much that he purchased an ocean view property as an investment. Through the purchase experience, Jason and Carlos realized that the real estate sales process in Costa Rica was in need of improvement and standardization. Thus, to help property buyers access an unbiased, definitive list of properties across the country, and to help sellers reach the thousands of potential buyers via web, Carlos and Jason founded Costa Rica Real Estate Service. Jason is a US resident, and a senior executive at a leading, public Internet company, responsible for creating and managing strategic relationships with some of the Internet's leading companies, including Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Lycos and AltaVista. He has been in the Internet industry since 1995, and is responsible for all aspects of CRRES web site development, operations and marketing--including placing Costa Rica Real Estate Service on all of the leading portal sites. |
